Angel & Dan: You Can't Be Serious!
Ok- so a few weeks ago I shot Seth and Erica's wedding. A few weeks later, I had the honor of shooting the wedding of their friends, Dan and Angel.
At Seth & Erica's wedding, the guys in the wedding party kept joking that they had lost Seth's ring, etc.... and we all had a good laugh. So understandably, I didn't believe them when they came up to me at Dan & Angel's wedding and said, "Dan lost the ring!"
I kept expecting them to surprise us all at the last minute with a, "Got 'cha!" But... alas... it never came. Dan did, indeed, lose his ring... even before the ceremony!
The cool part was... these two love birds were having such a great time, they didn't let something like a missing ring keep them from enjoying their big day!
Here they are in Angel's VW Thing... Love it!
They were married at Country Pines (if you've never been there... it's a must-see!). The outdoor setting made for some fun additions to the guest list, including: a black cat, wild mushrooms, an adorable little frog, and an exotic grasshopper!
Isn't this grasshopper gorgeous!?
Angel and Dan have an incredible group of family & friends. Seriously. I've had the privilege of being part of two of their wedding celebrations so far... Here they are pitching in to help search for the missing ring.
On their hands and knees even! What a bunch!
The ceremony started just before sunset....
The pastor was awesome. Check out his guitar! He even played and sang during the ceremony... truly fantastic!
Angel and Dan did several things I had never seen done at a wedding before. For one thing, their guests were treated to dinner before the ceremony. Their schedule went something like this:
- Guests arrive and share in fabulous dinner - 6pm
- Everyone finds their seat to enjoy a gorgeous ceremony at sunset - 7:30pm
- Dance the night away under the stars - 8:00 - ???
At the end of their ceremony, the entire group of guests was invited to get out of their seats and form a (rather large) circle around Angel & Dan for some final well wishes. It was a powerful gesture both visually, physically, and emotionally.
Congratulations and best wishes to the both of you! Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your special day!
